I prepare my talks in close consultation with my clients ensuring content and style are well-matched to the target audience. I generally avoid research and statistics and rely more on personal stories and lived experience. Feedback over the years tells me this is what works best. I can confidently address a profession body, government service or community organisation. I’m always happy to join a panel and contribute to a broad discussion on a issue, or to deliver a specific, tailored presentation. I speak with clarity, humour and to time. Some examples of my speaking engagements are:
- All families are equal, but some families are more equal than others: Queer Thinking: EqualiTea Party: Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras
- The future of LGBTIQ parenting: University of Melbourne Graduate Students Association, Midsumma
- Best practice for working with rainbow families: Municipal Association of Victoria, Biennial Conference
